Frank Castle (Jane) gets the living daylights beaten out of him by the 6'9" "Russian" played by professional wrestler Kevin Nash. I mean, he's thrown through a wall, beaten mercilessly with every object imagineable, and stabbed. And he takes it all like a man.
But when his neighbor, Joan, dumps a little alcohol on the stab wound, Castle screams in anguish. Really?
So I named my conditioning sled "the Punisher" just for fun. In addition to the regular push and pull variations people use with this equipment, let me share a few variations that are sure to add some screams of anguish to your conditioning session:
- Backwards Punisher Push keeping your hips low and thighs at 90 degrees, push the punisher with your back for distance.
- Overhead Punisher Drag use straps and keep arms straight overhead with 45 degree torso lean.
- Bat Wing Pull use straps to "row" sled to you with elbows up and wide. Walk back and repeat.
- Chest Press split stance, press sled away from you, then walk up to sled and repeat.
- Squat to Row with taut straps, squat down, then row sled to body. walk back and repeat for distance.
- High Biceps Curl use straps with arms extended in front, curl sled toward body with hands aiming to forehead
- Overhead Triceps Extension with arms bent to 90 degrees overhead and body facing away from the sled, use straps to extend arms up and pull sled toward you. Walk away and repeat.
I guarantee you'll understand why I named my sled the Punisher.
The Punisher: I have work to do. Read your newspaper every day and you'll understand.
