Everyone knows that branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) are anabolic and immune-boosting, but a recent Japanese study shows that they help prevent fat gain as well.
Excess insulin were lower, triglycerides levels were reduced, and weight gain was reduced by 6% in the subjects involved. Well, the subjects were mice, but who cares?
Many bodybuilders supplement with BCAAs with excellent results. Try 5-10 grams pre-and post-workout, and right before bed.
