Goin' to Carolina In My Mind

I'm going to warn the Panthers to pass on Cam Newton for these reasons: 1. He didn't play in a pro-style system and does not understand the nomenclature. 2. He threw only about 280 passes in his year at Auburn, and only about 30 were "pro-caliber" according to Ron Jaworski.


3. He's a poor fit for the Carolina system which requires exquisite timing and accuracy- neither of which Cam has demonstrated. 4. He has serious character, maturity, and leadership issues( see PFW.)


5. Carolina used their draft pick last year for a QB in an early round- why would they use another early pick for another QB? They should pick a defensive player or take a more highly-rated QB later on.( Jason Whitlock wrote he wouldn't draft Cam at all and Brian Billick rates him at 17th on his board.)


I predict Carolina will select Cam, and they will Regret it. JaMarcus Russell, anyone?
