Now that everyone's jumping on the "barefoot" running or "minimalist" running or "natural" running bandwagon, I thought I'd share a few recent shoe reviews from "Competitor" magazine. Of course, I'm still all about my Vibram FiveFingers, even if people think I'm one of those Crossfit numb nuts when I'm wearing them.
The Altra Provision ($105) cited as a bit narrow, the shoe also promotes mid-foot striking, has a rigid sole, and provides a removal stability wedge for overpronators. (Pictured Below)
Ecco's Biom Bwhich is pricy at $200 or $220 for leather, provides what is termed an "incredibly" flexible upper, and is best for neutral runners. (Right)
Finally, the Inov-8 Road-X Lite 155 is termed light, snug, and flexible. It is best suited for 5-10k racing bevUse of limited cushioning and arch support. $120
