Calcium Although we don't know for sure the mechanism by which calcium can accelerate fat loss, we do know that studies have linked higher calcium intake to lower body fat concentrations. ( One theory is that dietary calcium binds to dietary fat in the stomach, preventing absorption.) Supplement with a maximum of 500mg twice per day with meals.
Zinc Low zinc levels lower your metabolic rate. And high-intensity training can deplete zinc levels, which lowers leptin production. That lowered leptin production increases hunger levels and decreases metabolism. Supplement with 30mg of zinc daily or take ZMA on an empty stomach right before bed.
Selenium Selenium helps the thyroid produce a hormone called T3, which keeps your metabolism elevated. Supplement with up to 400 mcg daily, with food.
