No, it's not what you were thinking... but it got your attention, didn't it?
Two glute exercises (that are not on my list of the top five) are excellent for working the glutes, low back, and hips.
One is the "bird dog" and one is the "hydrant." Perform 2-3 sets of the hydrant for each side. Perform the bird dog for time. Stop when your form breaks down. Build up to 30 seconds to start.
