Continuing the March Madness basketball theme, today I'll touch on the Florida State S&C team- 15 strong. Their tagline is " where the elite become champions." Stated on the website, their program is "dedicated to pursuing excellence." The S &C team creates " individualized programs based on scientifically proven principles." Remember science when you are thinking about buying the latest fad products ( shake weight, toning shoes, ab circle) And programs (P90x). Schlock, all of it. The FSU S&C team provides " comprehensive programs which address: strength, power, acceleration, speed, agility, core development, flexibility, conditioning, and nutrition." The take-away from the program? Fitness has multiple components, and NUTRITION is a key. FSU wisely provides their athletes with general off-season nutrition guidance . http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/fsu/genrel/auto_pdf/nutritiona5609.pdf Check the link above.
